A Unique Experience awaits at the Selina Amazon Tena Lodge!
The Selina Amazon Tena Lodge is truly a unique offering in the midst of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador. It easily accessible and offers distinct activities and sense of community living not found on any other lodge of its class.
Anyone looking to dive into the Amazon rainforest should start with this friendly town off the beaten track. Tena is the white-water rafting center of Ecuador. It’s the perfect place to kick off your trek, with three main rivers for kayaking, rafting, hiking and more. Also known as the “cinnamon capital” of Ecuador, this former missionary outpost is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the green landscape of South America.
Selina Tena Location
Selina is located in Misahualli, a small village nearby with a more laidback jungle vibe than Tena. Here, you’ll be surrounded by wildlife, rapids, and the sights and sounds of the jungle on all sides. Your neighbors may be the famous monkeys that live in town! Selina is one of the few places in town that can boast consistent Wifi. Stop by for a drink or healthy snack at the in-house restaurant, stay in one of the community rooms, privates, or suites, and admire the art from local talent gracing the walls of this friendly, comfortable home away from home.
This is the only Amazon lodge that offers unique programs you can enjoy; a wellness program that focuses on spiritual renewal, a native program where you will get in touch with the indigenous culture and way of life, a soft adventure program for adventure rookies and a hard adventure program for those seeking an adrenaline rush. All in all this newly re-imagined lodge is truly something you have to experience for yourself. I will visit this lodge soon and will blog about it so you can know exactly what to expect.
Come one, come all for a truly unique experience in the midst of the Amazon Rainforest!

Instead, the shaman is nothing but a mere assistant in our own cleansing, one who acts as a bridge between the person who wants to be cleansed and the spiritual world where the power for cleansing our souls lies. Therefore, the clients are the ones cleansing themselves albeit with the necessary help and guidance of the shaman who makes use of smoke and different plants in order to help us focus in the aspects of oneself that we want to improve.
